Darling is about an hour's drive north (75km) of Cape Town, situated just inland of the R27 West Coast road.
Drive out of Cape Town along the N1 highway, take the R27 (the West Coast road) offramp which goes towards Paarden Eiland. Continue along the R27 passing Milnerton, Sunset Beach, Tableview and Melkbos. The generous 120km/h speed limit means that you will find yourself at the turnoff to Darling/Yzerfontein relativley quickly. Turn right towards Darling along the R315 (left takes you to Yzerfontein). This road will leads you into Main Street Darling.
Cape Town International is the nearest major airport. Land there, and then hop into a car. Follow the N2 towards Cape Town, take the M5 turnoff towards Milnerton, turn off the M5 onto the N1 towards Cape Town, then take the R27 turnoff travelling north to Yzerfontein. Follow the directions along the R27 as set out above.
