This restaurant is named after the large rock in Yzerfontein's bay, "Meeurots". You can choose your steak 18 different ways, from fillet escargot or "magic carpet" (topped with smoked oysters in a peppercorn sauce), to a massive 800 grams of rump or sirloin. Add in the respectable variety of fish dishes, and you have carnivore heaven. It's family-friendly but not heart-friendly - lots of butter and deepfrying. Decor's unpretentious, portions are huge and the list of local wines is well-priced.
